James 4: "Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him scamper. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life." This is what we ought to do if we want to let God work his will in us. Saying a quiet yes to God is the beginning and it's probably the most difficult step since we would have to let go the lordship over our own lives.
James 5: "What a gift life is to those who stay the course! It's God who brings it all together for him at the end. That’s because God cares, cares right down to the last detail. All that we need is the "believing-prayer" that will heal us, and Jesus will put us on His feet. And if we’ve sinned, we’ll be forgiven—healed inside and out." This is powerful and worthwhile to put our entire life into it.
