Revelations 5: "I wept and wept and wept that no one was found able to open the scroll, able to read it." It's hard to imagine what emotions overcame John to break out in tears but surely did care for the destiny of the churches mentioned. Here, one the elders encouraged John by telling him that the "Lion from Tribe Judah, the Root of David’s Tree, has conquered. He can open the scroll, can rip through the seven seals.” The Lion indeed is a lamb!
Revelations 6: Unsealing the scroll seems to have made a huge impact, unleashing a series of domino effects. "When he ripped of the fifth seal.....I saw the souls of those killed because they had held firm in their witness to the Word of God." It should be our desire to belong in this group of people.
