주께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "너는 바로에게로 가서 '나 주가 이렇게 말한다' 하고, 그에게 이르기를 '나의 백성을 보내라. 그들이 나를 예배할 수 있게 하여라. 네가 그들을 보내지 않으면, 나는 개구리로 너의 온 땅을 벌하겠다. 강에는 개구리들이 득실거리고, 위로 올라와서, 너의 궁궐과 너의 침실에도 들어가고, 침대로도 올라가고, 너의 신하와 백성의 집에도 들어가고, 너의 화덕과 반죽하는 그릇에도 들어갈 것이다. 또한 그 개구리들은 너와 너의 백성과 너의 모든 신하의 몸에도 뛰어오를 것이다' 하여라." 주께서 모세에게 말씀하셨다. "너는 아론에게 이르기를, 지팡이를 들고 강과 운하와 늪 쪽으로 손을 내밀어서, 개구리들이 이집트 땅 위로 올라오게 하라고 하여라." 아론이 이집트의 물 위에다가 그의 팔을 내미니, 개구리들이 올라와서 이집트 땅을 뒤덮었다.
그러나 술객들도 자기들의 술법으로 그와 똑같이 하여, 개구리들이 이집트 땅 위로 올라오게 하였다.

It's a horrifying imagination to see millions of frogs hopping around in & outside of homes. Not only that, but it must have smelled terrible throughout the lands....The fact is....God wants to be worshipped by His people and He wants the Pharao to let go of his possessive behavior toward the Israelites. It's a power struggle that will eventually end bitterly for the Pharaoh. Similarly, we also wrestle the Lord in our lives in order to accomplish something to satisfy our own selfish human desires - apart from God's will. We should seriously think about if we are limiting God's presence and reign in our lives due to our thoughts and actions.
