Luke 2:13-21

갑자기 그 천사와 더불어 많은 하늘 군대가 나타나서, 하나님을 찬양하여 말하였다. "더없이 높은 곳에서는 하나님께 영광이요, 땅에서는 주님께서 좋아하시는 사람들에게 평화로다." 천사들이 목자들에게서 떠나 하늘로 올라간 뒤에, 목자들이 서로 말하였다. "베들레헴으로 가서, 주님께서 우리에게 알려주신 바, 일어난 그 일을 봅시다."그리고 그들은 급히 달려가서, 마리아와 요셉과 구유에 누워 있는 아기를 찾아냈다. 그들은 이것을 보고 나서, 이 아기에 관하여 자기들이 들은 말을 사람들에게 알려 주었다. 이것을 들은 사람들은 모두 목자들이 그들에게 전해준 말을 이상히 여겼다. 마리아는 이 모든 말을 고이 간직하고, 마음 속에 곰곰이 되새겼다. 목자들은 자기들이 듣고 본 모든 일이 자기들에게 일러주신 그대로임을 알고, 돌아가면서 하나님께 영광을 돌리며 그를 찬미하였다.여드레가 차서, 아기에게 할례를 행할 때에, 그 이름을 예수라고 하였다. 그것은, 아기가 수태되기 전에, 천사가 일러준 이름이다.Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests." When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let's go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about."So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.On the eighth day, when it was time to circumcise him, he was named Jesus, the name the angel had given him before he had been conceived.
