Luke 12:35-40

"너희는 허리에 띠를 띠고 등불을 켜놓고 있어라.마치 주인이 혼인 잔치에서 돌아와서 문을 두드릴 때에, 곧 열어 주려고 대기하고 있는 사람들과 같이 되어라. 주인이 와서 종들이 깨어 있는 것을 보면, 그 종들은 복이 있다. 내가 진정으로 너희에게 말한다. 그 주인이 허리를 동이고, 그들을 식탁에 앉히고, 곁에 와서 시중들 것이다. 주인이 밤중에나 새벽에 오더라도, 종들이 깨어 있는 것을 보면, 그 종들은 복이 있다. 너희는 이것을 알아라. 집주인이 언제 도둑이 들지 알았더라면, 그는 도둑이 그 집을 뚫고 들어오도록 내버려두지 않았을 것이다. 그러므로 너희도 준비하고 있어라. 생각하지도 않은 때에 인자가 올 것이기 때문이다.""Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning,like men waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes. I tell you the truth, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night. But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."
