2 Timothy 1: For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline...This alone should encourage us to spread the testimony about our Lord even to the point of suffering for the gospel. And as the Scriptures mention, we can do it by the power of God. Amen!
2 Timothy 2: 8 Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal.
So then what is my gospel for which I am suffering? Sometimes we need to simplify and come back to the basics of Christianity, which is our faith and belief in Jesus Christ who was raised from the dead. Am I then ready to suffer for the gospel? Still too partially.
2 Timothy 3: ...always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. So we should make sure that we will not get sidetracked in our pursuit for Christ. Our aim should be to know the truth more every day beyond just understanding and knowing the writings of the Bible. To do so, we need to have a deeper intimacy with Christ through deeper prayer and meditation.
