Job 1: “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart.[c] The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” This is the true reality for us all - that naked wed came from mother's womb and naked we will depart. So regardless of how much splendor and riches of this world we get to enjoy, we will all eventually leave everything behind us naked and with empty hands.
Job 2: Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?” This should be true response of a faithful believer in Christ who matures. Most of the time, we have the impatient and short-lasting attitude of Job's wife who would have rather cursed God and died in this situation. Similarly, how do we react in face of troubles ?
Job 3: Finally, we can see Job breaking out emotionally and cursing the his life. He wishes that he would not have been born. Job has no peace, no quietness, no rest but only turmoil. Although Job in frustration reaches out to God, he still seeks His intervention and response to prayers, rather than seeking means of this world to satisfy his needs. Here again, we can see how faithful Job is.
Job 4: We can see how important it is to have friends who can encourage us and challenge us to get back on our feet. In the case Job, Eliphaz, Bildad and Zophar approached Job to provide him with help. "Should not your piety be your confidence and your blameless ways your hope?" Eliphaz reminds Job of his piety and blamless ways of life and reminds him that this should be his confidence and hope.
