Ezekiel 35: Next up for destruction is Mount Seir, the region stretching between the Dead Sea and the Gulf of Aqabah, demarcating the southeastern border of Edom with Judah. God prophesies the same treatment to Mount Seir as to Israel, namely, demolition. Through this, God wishes the people to realize that He is God!
Ezekiel 36: God's plan of restoration for Israel: "For here’s what I’m going to do: I’m going to take you out of these countries, gather you from all over, and bring you back to your own land. I’ll pour pure water over you and scrub you clean. I’ll give you a new heart, put a new spirit in you. I’ll remove the stone heart from your body and replace it with a heart that’s God-willed, not self-willed. I’ll put my Spirit in you and make it possible for you to do what I tell you and live by my commands. You’ll once again live in the land I gave your ancestors. You’ll be my people! I’ll be your God!" Again, God wants the people to realize that He is God!
Ezekiel 37: "I’ll live right there with them. I’ll be their God! They’ll be my people!" So God wants to restore the broken relationship with His people. He ordered dry bones to listen to the Message of God. Consequently, God attached sinews to them, put meat on their bones, cover them with skin, and breathe life into them. As a result, this will bring the breath of life to them and they'll come alive and they’ll realize that He is God!”
