Jeremiah 37: We can see how God continuously uses Jeremiah as His messenger and King Zedekiah apparently trusts and believes that Jeremiah was telling him the words of God.
Jeremiah 38: "Listen, please. Listen to God’s voice. I’m telling you this for your own good so that you’ll live." So we can see Jeremiah's earnest care and love for his people in Judah and Israel. He cries out to the Lord to have mercy on him and his people.
Jeremiah 39: Yes, I’ll most certainly save you. You won’t be killed. You’ll walk out of there safe and sound because you trusted me.’” So we can see the assuring words of God toward Jeremiah who trusted Him throughout and represented His voice to the people.
