Luke 1:46-56

그리하여 마리아가 말하였다. "내 영혼이 주님을 찬양하며 내 마음이 내 구주 하나님을 좋아함은, 그가 이 여종의 비천함을 보살펴 주셨기 때문입니다. 이제부터는 모든 세대가 나를 행복하다 할 것입니다. 힘센 분이 나에게 큰 일을 하셨기 때문입니다. 그의 이름은 거룩하고, 그의 자비하심은, 그를 두려워하는 사람들에게 대대로 있을 것입니다.그는 그 팔로 권능을 행하시고 마음이 교만한 사람들을 흩으셨으니, 제왕들을 왕좌에서 끌어내리시고 비천한 사람을 높이셨습니다. 주린 사람들을 좋은 것으로 배부르게 하시고, 부한 사람들을 빈손으로 떠나보내셨습니다. 그는 자비를 기억하셔서, 자기의 종 이스라엘을 도우셨습니다. 우리 조상들에게 말씀하신 대로, 그 자비는 아브라함과 그 자손에게 영원토록 있을 것입니다."마리아는 엘리사벳과 함께 석 달쯤 있다가 자기 집으로 돌아갔다.And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me-- holy is his name. His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation.He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts. He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble. He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty. He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, even as he said to our fathers."Mary stayed with Elizabeth for about three months and then returned home.
