Mark 14:53-65

그들은 예수를 대제사장에게로 끌고 갔다. 그러자 대제사장들과 장로들과 율법학자들이 모두 모여들었다. 베드로는 멀찍이 떨어져서, 예수를 뒤따라 대제사장의 집 안마당에까지 들어갔다. 그는 하인들과 함께 앉아 불을 쬐고 있었다. 대제사장들과 온 의회가 예수를 사형에 처하려고, 그를 고소할 증거를 찾았으나, 찾아내지 못하였다.예수에게 불리하게 거짓으로 증언하는 사람이 많이 있었지만, 그들의 증언은 서로 들어맞지 않았다. 더러는 일어나서, 그에게 불리하게, 거짓으로 증언하여 말하기를 "우리가 이 사람이 말하는 것을 들었는데 '내가 사람의 손으로 지은 이 성전을 허물고, 손으로 짓지 않은 다른 성전을 사흘만에 세우겠다' 하였습니다." 그러나 그들의 증언도 서로 들어맞지 않았다. 그래서 대제사장이 한가운데 일어서서, 예수께 물었다. "이 사람들이 그대에게 불리하게 증언하는데도, 아무 답변도 하지 않소?"그러나 예수께서는 입을 다무시고, 아무 대답도 하지 않으셨다. 대제사장이 예수께 물었다. "그대는 찬양을 받으실 분의 아들 그리스도요?" 예수께서 말씀하셨다. "내가 바로 그이요. 당신들은 인자가 전능하신 분의 오른쪽에 앉아 있는 것과, 하늘의 구름을 타고 오는 것을 보게 될 것이오." 대제사장은 자기 옷을 찢고 말하였다. "이제 우리에게 무슨 증인들이 더 필요하겠소? 여러분은 이제 하나님을 모독하는 말을 들었소. 여러분의 생각은 어떠하오?" 그러자 그들은 모두, 예수는 사형을 받아야 마땅하다고 정죄하였다. 그들 가운데서 더러는, 달려들어 예수께 침을 뱉고, 얼굴을 가리고 주먹으로 치고 하면서 "알아 맞추어 보아라" 하고 놀려대기 시작하였다. 그리고 하인들은 예수를 손바닥으로 쳤다.They took Jesus to the high priest, and all the chief priests, elders and teachers of the law came together. Peter followed him at a distance, right into the courtyard of the high priest. There he sat with the guards and warmed himself at the fire. The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were looking for evidence against Jesus so that they could put him to death, but they did not find any.Many testified falsely against him, but their statements did not agree. Then some stood up and gave this false testimony against him: "We heard him say, 'I will destroy this man-made temple and in three days will build another, not made by man.' " Yet even then their testimony did not agree. Then the high priest stood up before them and asked Jesus, "Are you not going to answer? What is this testimony that these men are bringing against you?"But Jesus remained silent and gave no answer. Again the high priest asked him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?" "I am," said Jesus. "And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven." The high priest tore his clothes. "Why do we need any more witnesses?" he asked. "You have heard the blasphemy. What do you think?" They all condemned him as worthy of death. Then some began to spit at him; they blindfolded him, struck him with their fists, and said, "Prophesy!" And the guards took him and beat him.
