Mark 15:1-15

1.새벽에 곧 대제사장들이 장로들과 율법학자들과 더불어 회의를 열었는데 그것은 전체 의회였다. 그들은 예수를 결박하고 끌고 가서, 빌라도에게 넘겨주었다. 2.그래서 빌라도가 예수께 물었다. "당신이 유대인의 왕이오?" 그러자 예수께서 빌라도에게 대답하셨다. "당신이 그렇게 말하였소." 3.대제사장들은 여러 가지로 예수를 고발하였다. 4.빌라도는 다시 예수께 물었다. "당신은 아무 답변도 하지 않소? 사람들이 얼마나 여러 가지로 당신을 고발하는지 보시오." 5.그러나 예수께서는 더 이상 아무 대답도 하지 않으셨다. 그래서 빌라도는 이상하게 여겼다. 6.그런데 빌라도는 명절 때마다 사람들이 요구하는 죄수 하나를 놓아 주곤 하였다. 7.그런데 폭동 때에 살인을 한 폭도들과 함께 바라바라고 하는 사람이 갇혀 있었다. 8.그래서 무리가 올라가서, 자기들에게 해주던 관례대로 해 달라고, 빌라도에게 청하였다. 9.빌라도가 말하였다. "여러분은 내가 그 유대인의 왕을 여러분에게 놓아주기를 바라는 거요?" 10.그는 대제사장들이 예수를 시기하여 넘겨주었음을 알았던 것이다. 11.그러나 대제사장들은 무리를 선동하여, 차라리 바라바를 놓아 달라고 청하게 하였다. 12.빌라도는 다시 그들에게 말하였다. "그러면, 당신들은 유대인의 왕이라고 하는 그 사람을 나더러 어떻게 하라는 거요?" 13.그들이 다시 소리를 질렀다. "십자가에 못박으시오!" 14.빌라도가 그들에게 말하였다. "정말 이 사람이 무슨 나쁜 일을 하였소?" 그들은 더욱 크게 소리를 질렀다. "십자가에 못박으시오!" 15.그리하여 빌라도는 무리를 만족시켜 주려고, 바라바는 놓아주고, 예수는 채찍질한 다음에 십자가에 처형당하게 넘겨주었다. 1.Very early in the morning, the chief priests, with the elders, the teachers of the law and the whole Sanhedrin, reached a decision. They bound Jesus, led him away and handed him over to Pilate. 2."Are you the king of the Jews?" asked Pilate. "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied. 3.The chief priests accused him of many things. 4.So again Pilate asked him, "Aren't you going to answer? See how many things they are accusing you of." 5.But Jesus still made no reply, and Pilate was amazed. 6.Now it was the custom at the Feast to release a prisoner whom the people requested. 7.A man called Barabbas was in prison with the insurrectionists who had committed murder in the uprising. 8.The crowd came up and asked Pilate to do for them what he usually did. 9."Do you want me to release to you the king of the Jews?" asked Pilate, 10.knowing it was out of envy that the chief priests had handed Jesus over to him. 11.But the chief priests stirred up the crowd to have Pilate release Barabbas instead. 12."What shall I do, then, with the one you call the king of the Jews?" Pilate asked them. 13."Crucify him!" they shouted. 14."Why? What crime has he committed?" asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder, "Crucify him!" 15.Wanting to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.
