1 John 2:15-17
여러분은 세상이나 세상에 있는 것들을 사랑하지 마십시오. 누가 세상을 사랑하면, 그 사람 속에는 하늘 아버지에 대한 사랑이 없습니다.세상에 있는 모든 것, 곧 육체의 욕망과 눈의 욕망과 세상 살림에 대한 자랑은 모두 하늘 아버지에게서 온 것이 아니라, 세상에서 온 것이기 때문입니다.
이 세상도 사라지고, 이 세상의 욕망도 사라지지만, 하나님의 뜻을 행하는 사람은 영원히 남습니다.Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world.
The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives forever.

What then is the will of God? Merely not to love the world with its sinful nature? I believe it pertains to knowing Christ and planting the word of God deep within us and apply it in our daily lives? What can we do then to avoid the cravings of sinful man? It's not that we can keep our eyes closed in our daily lives. I believe that once we have been firmly established in Christ, meaning that the word of God will be deeply rooted within us, it will provide us with the necessary stability and faith to overcome the things of this world. But we need practice and continuity so that the word of God can be firmly established within us and practiced in our daily lives.
