2 Peter 3:14-18

사랑하는 여러분, 여러분이 이것을 기다리고 있으니, 티도 없고 흠도 없는 사람으로, 아무 탈이 없이 하나님 앞에 나타날 수 있도록 힘쓰십시오. 그리고 우리 주님의 오래 참으심이 구원을 위한 것이라고 생각하십시오. 그것은 우리의 사랑하는 형제 바울이, 자기가 받은 지혜를 따라서 여러분에게 편지한 바와 같습니다.바울은 모든 편지에서 이런 것을 두고 말하고 있는데, 그 가운데는 알기 어려운 것이 더러 있어서, 무식하거나 믿음이 굳세지 못한 사람은, 다른 성경을 잘못 해석하듯이 그것을 잘못 해석해서, 마침내 스스로 파멸에 이르고 말 것입니다. 그러므로 사랑하는 여러분, 여러분은 이 사실을 미리 알고, 불의한 자들의 유혹에 휩쓸려서 자기의 확신을 잃는 일이 없도록 주의하십시오. 우리의 주님이시며 구주이신 그리스도 예수에 대한 지식과 그의 은혜 안에서 자라십시오. 이제도 영원한 날까지도 영광이 주님께 있기를 빕니다. [아멘.]So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. Bear in mind that our Lord's patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him.He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. Therefore, dear friends, since you already know this, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your secure position. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
