2 Chronicles 31: Hezekiah did what was good and right and faithful before the Lord his God. In everything that he undertook in the service of God’s temple and in obedience to the law and the commands, he sought his God and worked wholeheartedly... the Israelites generously gave the firstfruits of their grain, new wine, olive oil and honey and all that the fields produced. This shows that they were no longer going after other gods.
2 Chronicles 32: Truly, our God is not the work of human hands but he is the commander and leader of all our battles.
2 Chronicles 33: "And when he prayed to him, the Lord was moved by his entreaty and listened to his plea." We can see how the Lord is move by peoples' prayer as we sincerely reach out to him and seek to build a relationship with Him.
2 Chronicles 34: The king stood by his pillar and renewed the covenant in the presence of the Lord—to follow the Lord and keep his commands, statutes and decrees with all his heart and all his soul, and to obey the words of the covenant written in this book. This is the right kind or worship attitude that God expects from each of us.
2 Chronicles 35: the entire service of the Lord was carried out for the celebration of the Passover and the offering of burnt offerings on the altar of the Lord. This must have pleased the Lord as peoples' hearts had been re-calibrated toward Him.
2 Chronicles 36: The Lord, the God of their ancestors, sent word to them through his messengers again and again, because he had pity on his people and on his dwelling place.... that's right... and again and again, The Lord still communicates to us today and we should listen to Him and be obedient to His word. Amen!
