Nehemiah 8-11 (성경통독)
Nehemiah 8:
Ezra Reads the Law (vs.1-18)
Nehemiah 9:
The Israelites Confess Their Sins (vs.1-37)
The Agreement of the People (vs.38)
Nehemiah 10:
The Agreement of the People (vs.1-39)
Nehemiah 11:
The New Residents of Jerusalem (vs.1-36)
Nehemiah 8: Then Nehemiah the governor, Ezra the priest and teacher of the Law, and the Levites who were instructing the people... These people were pivotal and important tools of instrument for God. Together, they read from the Book of the Law of God. They celebrated the festival for seven days, and on the eighth day, in accordance with the regulation, there was an assembly.
Nehemiah 9: The Israelites confess their sins and acknowledge that they became arrogant and stiff-necked people before God. They characterize the Lord as a gracious, merciful and righteous God.
Nehemiah 10: “We will not neglect the house of our God.” The people finally seemed to have made up their minds as they finally decide to assume responsibility for bringing to the house of the Lord each year the firstfruits of their crops and of every fruit tree. Here lies the reason for tithing and giving the best portion of our lives to God.
Nehemiah 11: We can see how some people settled down in Jerusalem, in the towns of Judah, while other people from both Judah and Benjamin also lived in Jerusalem. It's good to see how people slowly orient themselves to settle back and populate the cities or Israel after many years of captivity.
