Psalm 25: David fears the Lord and since he knows that only the Lord can rescue Him from all his anguish, distress and troubles that he faces. This fear prevents him from sinning against the Lord and helps him to put his hope in Him.

Psalm 26:...for I have always been mindful of your unfailing love and have lived in reliance on your faithfulness....Yes, even though there were moments in David's life when he failed before the Lord, the Lord nevertheless, never ceased to show faithfulness toward David.

Psalm 27: ...that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple.... This is indeed a bold and admirable confession of David toward the Lord. Bottom line is that he seeks the Lord only in his life despite the fact that there are so many things he could wish for.

Psalm 28: ...Hear my cry for mercy as I call to you for help, as I lift up my hands
toward your Most Holy Place.... I wonder why David thought that the Lord would turn His ears from him. All this time, he has been crying out to the Lord and he surely must know that the Lord is faithful and will listen to all his pleas and prayers. I wonder why David reacts so insecure...maybe because of his past sins toward God?

Psalm 29: Here David praises and glorifies the Lord with all his heart and voice. He fully praises and lifts up high the glory of God and declares that the voice of the Lord is everywhere.

Psalm 30: ....but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.... this verse shows well David's emotions before the Lord. Though he shed tears for one moment, the rejoicing in the Lord is stronger for His grace and mercy last a lifetime.

Psalm 31: God's unfailing love will preserve those who are true and faithful to Him. But all those who hope in the Lord must be strong and take heart to overcome the world. Only those who overcome the world will be able to fully cling to Him steadfastly and continuously.
