Psalm 6: David was able to make such a deep and honest prayer from deep within his heart since he was fully convinced that the Lord accepts his prayer. His only refuge and source of mercy is the Lord and he fully leans and relies on His unfailing love.

Psalm 7:Lord my God, if I have done this and there is guilt on my hands....then let my enemy pursue and overtake me. So we can see the repenting attitude of David toward God for his sins. Most of us just petition and lay down our prayer requests before Him without reflecting on our sins. But David shows us that it's important to repent for our sins if we want God to work in our lives.

Psalm 8: Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? This humble prayer should be our confession toward God as well. Instead of seeking to be greater and better, we should live with contentment and with thanksgiving toward our Lord.

Psalm 9: Sing the praises of the Lord, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done. This verse applies to us. We should keep in mind the love of God and proclaim among the nations what he has done.

Psalm 10: In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God... How much room do we allocate for the Lord? Do we try to be lord over own lives or do we invite the Lord to come into our lives and take control?
