Isaiah 39: Hezekiah is naive and foolish enough to show the envoys from Babylon everything in his palace. He should have been a little more shrewd and cautious rather than showing off all possessions. Also, he seems to less caring for future generations to come since it's good enough that there will be peace and security only in his lifetime.
Isaiah 40: Despite the Babylonian Captivity ahead and the past sins toward the Lord, Israel is still comforted by the fact that there will be a voice in the wilderness preparing the way for the Lord. The Lord will restore and bring healing to His people.
Isaiah 41: The Lord is the Helper of Israel and NOT their enemy. He will restore lives and all creations.
