Proverbs 26: So could lying be partial results of sluggishness or laziness? Maybe...Laziness/sluggishness leads us to only say things with our mouths but can fatally lead lack of taking necessary actions.
Proverbs 27: Death and Destruction[b] are never satisfied, and neither are human eyes... since the human eyes want to see things that are pleasing and glamorous. This chapter makes me think about what real prudence / wisdom is.
Proverbs 28: Do I chase after needless fantasies and meaningless wealth as the result of my greed and desire for quick riches? I pray that God will rectify my thoughts and behavior.
Proverbs 29: "The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern." Lord, please give me a heart of discernment and care for the poor of this world. Please help me not to solely focus only on my own well-being but please re-calibrate my focus and heart toward others with love.
Proverbs 30: Keep falsehood and lies far from me; give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread. 9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, ‘Who is the Lord?’... This is a confession by a very wise person. We know that riches or poverty can draw us away from the Lord. It's important that we do not seek the extremes of this life but rather be content with the daily bread provided to us by the Lord.
