Jeremiah 51: All the bad things that would come down to Babylon... After 70 years of captivity, God finally releases Israel and Judah from the Babylonians. It's frightening to see and imagine how Babylon will eventually end up, namely, "it will sink to bottom and stay there after the disaster that He is going to bring upon her."
Jeremiah 52: Prior to the eventual destruction of Babylon, this chapter deals with the destruction of Jerusalem and Exile of Judah in order for Babylon to capture both cities. We have to remember that God allowed Babylon to take over these two cities because He was angry and upset since the people were seeking hand-made gods and continued their lives of sinful acts.
