Jonah 3: The king of Nineveh reacted shrewdly by publishing a public proclamation throughout Nineveh: "Everyone must turn around, turn back from an evil life and the violent ways that stain their hands. " By doing so, he hoped that God will turn around and change his mind about them, quit being angry with them and let them live!” Consequently, "God saw what they had done, that they had turned away from their evil lives. He did change his mind about them. What he said he would do to them he didn’t do." So we can see a success story of a group of people that turns around from its sinful lives and resubmits them to God!

Jonah 4: In fact, Jonas should not be angry with God at all for changing His directions and ways. It is correct that God is "sheer grace and mercy, not easily angered, rich in love, and ready at the drop of a hat to turn His plans of punishment into a program of forgiveness." But as His creations, we should not have a say in His works. He is the potter and we are the clay!
