Micah 7: "You’ll stay true to your word to Father Jacob and continue the compassion you showed Grandfather Abraham—Everything you promised our ancestors from a long time ago." So Micah here cries out to the Lord and seeks His mercy and compassion thinking about the the covenant grace showed by God to his spiritual forefathers. He sees and knows his personal sinful life before God and asks God to fill himself and the people with holy fear and trembling."
Nahum 1: Two messages: 1. Nineveh is being described as a "think tank for lies." There will be afflicting times ahead for Nineveh: 2. Judah will be restored again: "“I’ve afflicted you, Judah, true, but I won’t afflict you again. From now on I’m taking the yoke from your neck and splitting it up for kindling. I’m cutting you free from the ropes of your bondage.” Judah now has a second chance to make it up to the Lord: "A holiday, Judah! Celebrate! Worship and recommit to God!"
