Jonah 1:This is another scene where God wants the people to leave behind their past (e.g. worshiping other gods) and redirect them to worship Him, offering a sacrifice, and making vows. He used Jonah as His tool of instrument to turn around the hearts of the people.
Jonah 2: Jonah realizes that he has done wrong to God, by going to the other direction to Tarshish although God commanded him to go to the big city of Nineveh and to preach to the people there. Therefore, Jonah prays to his God from the belly of the fish and worships Him and declares his love to Him.
