Also, we can see a very hesitant Jacob who procrastinates for long before he sends his beloved son Benjamin along with his other sons to buy more food and to get Simeon out of jail.
Genesis 44: It's quite interesting to see how the house steward plays along in these moments... Judah is willing to become an slave or anything to prevent Benjamin from being captive. He knows that from the moment when his father Jacob sees that his beloved son Benjamin is missing, he will die instantly. So Judah pleads with Joseph to let Benjamin go.
