Ezra 1: We can see the rebuilding of the temple of the Lord and the restoration of Israel and Judah. We can see how the Lord moved Cyrus's heart to help the people with the exile.
Ezra 2: We can continuously see the return of the Israelite people after 70 years of captivity. The Lord scattered many people and brought them back.
Ezra 3: Why did many of the older priests and Levites and family heads, who had seen the former temple, weep aloud when they saw the foundation of this temple being laid? Was it because they felt sorrow for the sins of Israel toward God ? Or was it because the new temple was not as glamorous compared to the former temple?
Ezra 4: Why did God allow opposition to happen in regards to the rebuilding of the house of God in Jerusalem? I believe God let it happen so that He could once again show His people that he would be in control and that He would guide and lead them. After all, it was not Cyrus who really helped the Exiles to return. Rather, it was the Lord who guided His people back to Israel and Judah.
Ezra 5: A very wise move by Tattenai to write this letter to Darius rather than stirring up conflicts.
