Ezra 6: because the Lord had filled them with joy... since they could work on the house of God again. It was God who installed a heart of joy to them and not the other way around.

Ezra 7: Finally, we learn about Ezra, who was the priest, a teacher of the Law, a man learned in matters concerning the commands and decrees of the Lord for Israel. He seemed to have been a wise person, a reliable tool of instrument for the Lord.

Ezra 8: I wonder if the qty of all sacrifices were ordered with the different kinds. Regardless all burnt offerings were given to the Lord as gesture of thanksgiving for their deliverance from the the Babylonian captivity.

Ezra 9: If all of us had such a humble and lowering attitude before God as Ezra did, we would experience and feel the presence of the Lord more in our lives. Because the Lord is righteous, we can still stand in His presence despite our guilt and sinfulness.

Ezra 10: While Ezra was praying and confessing, weeping and throwing himself down before the house of God... While he was there, he ate no food and drank no water, because he continued to mourn over the unfaithfulness of the exiles.... To have such a heart for his people is tough and Ezra was truly a man and leader of God who mourned over the unfaithfulness of the exiles. He was not a selfish person who was self-centered but served as a servant of the Lord as we can see.
