Proverbs 11: Generally, this chapter tells how the righteous and wise person will reap good fruit while the wicked and unfaithful will will seek things that are evil and end in death eventually. So there is a nice list of compare and contrast for these two groups of people.
Proverbs 12: Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult... The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. In response to an insult, we should carefully craft our words so we don't say anything reckless to bring pain on the people. I pray that words spoken through my tongue will bring healing to people.
Proverbs 13: ... wisdom is found in those who take advice. Whoever scorns instruction will pay for it, but whoever respects a command is rewarded... So wisdom and reward are results of taking advice and respecting commands from people. Instead of being thick-headed and stubborn with our own ways, it's worthwhile to listen to others at times.
Proverbs 14: So we should pray that God will give us the needed wisdom to fear the Lord and shun evil. To those people, the Lord is a secure fortress and and a fountain of life, the true foundation of their lives.
Proverbs 15: So we should appreciate the acts of discipline and acts of correction God that God takes in our lives. If we really have a discerning that seeks knowledge and wisdom, we will ask for fear of the Lord and shun evil to stay away from the wicked path.
