Psalm 85: " Surely his salvation is near those who fear him, that his glory may dwell in our land." Our relationship with God begins from the moment when we start to fear Him. Otherwise, we will seek to live to satisfy our own sinful lusts and cravings, not really caring for what pleases the Lord.
Psalm 86: David continues to plead with the Lord and asks to show His mercy toward him. He seeks the grace and mercy from the Lord who is compassionate, loving, faithful and good. But I believe that David wants assurance from the Lord (sign) that He will continue to watch out for him and to protect him.
Psalm 87: Mount Zion, the city of God, is a place for those who acknowledge the Lord. These people will belong to Mount Zion and the Lord will write in the register the names of these people.
Psalm 88: Again, David seems to be in a state of despair, desperately seeking the grace and deliverance from the Lord. He seems to think that the Lord is hiding His face from him and that darkness has overwhelmed him. He seeks to see the signs and wonders but God remains silent to him.
Psalm 89: David continues to plea for restoration of God's love in his life. He seeks to have restored the "former great love of God" in his fleeting life.
Psalm 90: “Return to dust, you mortals.” Although God is everlasting, we His creations are shortlasting. We are like grass that springs up new in the morning, but which by evening dries and withers.
Psalm 91: If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling.... This is such a deep confession and acknowledgment which we as His sons and daughters have to make. I pray that the Lord is and will remain my refuge in whom I can truly rest and breath days in and out.
