Exodus 1: ...But the midwives had far too much respect for God and didn’t do what the king of Egypt ordered.... God was pleased with the midwives.... And because the midwives honored God, God gave them families of their own. So we can see an healthy relationship between God and the midwives.The midwives put God above the king of Egypt despite all the pressure they received.
Exodus 2: It's remarkable that even though Moses grew in Egypt all his life, he still had sympathy for his people- Hebrews. When Moses saw an Egyptian hitting a Hebrew, one of his relatives, he killed the Egyptian and buried him in the sand. Also, it's interesting how the daughter of the pharaoh has so much compassion to adopt a Hebrew boy as her son.
