Proverbs 16: Wisdom and understanding are keys to discerning God's ways and steps. "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans." This is really so true. If we really commit to the Lord whatever we do, He will establish our plans but He will weigh our motives.

Proverbs 17: One whose heart is not corrupt does prosper and one whose tongue is not perverse does not fall into trouble. Sometimes it's wise for us to keep silent and to hold our tongues before we say something destructive.

Proverbs 18: Words, mouths and lips of fools all result in strife and wickedness. Sometimes it's better to be slow to words and to listen until the end rather than to be impatient and trying to convey one's thought abruptly.

Proverbs 19: The result of wisdom is true love for life and patience. It will help us to discern blameless walk from perverse ways of handling matters. Lord, please help me to taste your unfailing love.

Proverbs 20: It's important to have integrity in our lives for the Lord detests differing weights, differing measures and dishonest scales.
