Genesis 13:Abram and Lot came to part company, uncle and nephew. Abram settled in Canaan; Lot settled in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent near Sodom. It's noteworthy how Abram built an altar and prayed there to God in Bethel and in Hebron. So he gave thanks and glory and acknowledged God in every instance.
Genesis 14: In this chapter, we can see the first scenes of a war: Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Kedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim went off to war to fight Bera king of Sodom, Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela, that is, Zoar. At the end, Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and his allied kings but when the the king of Sodom said to Abram, “Give me back the people but keep all the plunder for yourself....” Abram decline to accept this offer.
