Genesis 37: It's disheartening to see that Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn, is the only one who seems to care about the fate of their brother Joseph. The other brothers are jealous of him and detest him since their father loved Joseph more.
Genesis 38: What a series of unfortunate events in the household of Judah. Not only did his two sons die, but his daughter-in-law Tamar tricked him into believing that she was a prostitute and he slept with her and even got her pregnant. It was partially Judah's fault since he would not let her marry his Shelah for the fear that he would end up dead as did his other sons Er and Onan.
