1 Thessalonians 4:9-12

교우들에 대한 사랑을 두고서는, 여러분에게 더 쓸 필요가 없겠습니다. 여러분이 직접 하나님께로부터 서로 사랑하라고 하시는 가르침을 받아서, 온 마케도니아에 있는 모든 형제자매에게 그것을 실행하고 있기 때문입니다. 형제자매 여러분, 우리는 여러분이 더욱더 그렇게 하기를 권면합니다. 그리고 우리가 여러분에게 명령한 대로, 조용하게 살기를 힘쓰고, 자기 일에 전념하고, 자기 손으로 일을 하십시오. 그리하여 여러분은 바깥 사람을 대하여 품위 있게 살아가야 하고, 또 아무에게도 신세를 지는 일이 없도록 해야 할 것입니다. Now about brotherly love we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other. And in fact, you do love all the brothers throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers, to do so more and more. Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.
