그러므로 나는, 남자들이 화를 내거나 말다툼을 하는 일이 없이, 모든 곳에서 거룩한 손을 들어 기도하기를 바랍니다.
이와 같이 여자들도 소박하고 정숙하게 단정한 옷차림으로 몸을 꾸미기 바랍니다. 머리를 어지럽게 꾸미거나 금붙이나 진주나 값비싼 옷으로 치장하지 말고,
하나님을 공경하는 여자에게 어울리게, 착한 행실로 치장하기를 바랍니다.
I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer, without anger or disputing.
I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes,
but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.

To attain a life of godliness and holiness and to come to knowledge of truth, we have act "appropriately." 너무 지나치게 꾸미거나 값비싼 물건으로 우리 자신을 둘러 샇으지 않고 적당히 꾸미며 항상 자신의 삶을 돌아보는 것이 중요하다는 생각이 듭니다. 무엇보다도 우리의 생활의 모든 영역을 돌아보며 거룩하지 않은 부분이 거룩해지도록 노력해야 됩니다. 아멘!
