2 Thessalonians 1:1-7

바울과 실루아노와 디모데가 하나님 우리 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도 안에 있는 데살로니가 사람의 교회에 이 편지를 씁니다. 하나님 아버지와 주 예수 그리스도께서 내려주시는 은혜와 평화가 여러분에게 있기를 빕니다. 형제자매 여러분, 우리는 여러분을 두고 언제나 하나님께 감사를 드릴 수밖에 없습니다. 그렇게 하는 것이 당연한 일이니, 그것은, 여러분의 믿음이 크게 자라고, 여러분 모두가 각자 서로에게 베푸는 사랑이 더욱 풍성해 가고 있기 때문입니다. 그러므로 우리는 온갖 박해와 환난 가운데서도 여러분이 간직한 그 인내와 믿음을 두고서 하나님의 여러 교회에서 여러분을 자랑하고 있습니다. 이 일은 하나님의 공의로운 심판의 표이니, 하나님께서 여러분을 하나님 나라에 합당한 사람이 되게 하시려고 주신 것입니다. 여러분은 참으로 그 나라를 위하여 고난을 당하고 있습니다.하나님은 공의를 베푸십니다. 여러분을 괴롭히는 자들에게는 괴로움으로 갚아주시고, 괴로움을 받는 여러분에게는 우리와 함께 안식으로 갚아주십니다. 이 일은 주 예수께서 자기의 권능 있는 천사들과 함께 하늘로부터Paul, Silas and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. We ought always to thank God for you, brothers, and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love every one of you has for each other is increasing. Therefore, among God's churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. All this is evidence that God's judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels.
