Genesis 11: “One people, one language; why, this is only a first step. No telling what they’ll come up with next—they’ll stop at nothing!... God saw what humans would be capable of doing with their crafty intelligence & wisdom and sinful nature. That's why God turned their language in babble. Here in this chapter, we also get to know more the root and origin of Abram's family.
Genesis 12: God truly blessed Abram, Sarai and Lot and told them to “Leave your country, your family, and your father’s home for a land that I will show you." In case of Abram, he shows his cowardness by telling the Egyptians that his wife Sarai would be his sister so that they would welcome him too and let him live. But instead of punishing Abram for this cowardwish act, God punished the Pharaoh and the remaining people in the palace. I wonder why Abram was given mercy in this instance....
