Genesis 25: Although Abraham married a second time and had many children afterwards, his true heart belonged to Isaac the son through his first wife Sarah. As promised, God would further extend and establish Abraham's seed through Isaac and also blessed Ishmael with many families and children.
Genesis 26: God spoke to Isaac and promised him that all the nations of the Earth would get a blessing for themselves through his descendants. "The reason being because Abraham obeyed his summons and kept his charge—my commands, his guidelines, his teachings.” Similar to his father Abraham who lied that Sarah would be his sister, Isaac likewise lies to Abimelech saying that Rebekkah would be his sister.
