Genesis 39: Locaion did not seem important in Joseph's life. Regardless of where he was physically, as it turned out, God was with Joseph and things went very well with him. Despite the bitterness of Potiphar's wife that led Joseph to jail, his situation did not seem to affect him too much since God's presence and lordship in his life when even through other people (head jailer).
Genesis 40: The two officials of Pharaoh who had been thrown into jail with Joseph turned out to have different fate at the end. While the baker died as Jospeph correctly interpreted his dreams, the cupbearer was restored to his position as cupbearer. But sadly, the head cupbearer never gave Joseph another thought; he forgot all about him.
