Colossians 4:1-6

주인 된 이 여러분, 정당하고 공정하게 종들을 대우하십시오. 여러분도 하늘에 주인을 모시고 있다는 사실을 아시기 바랍니다. 기도에 힘을 쓰십시오. 감사하는 마음으로 기도하면서, 깨어 있으십시오. 또 하나님께서 전도의 문을 우리에게 열어 주셔서, 우리가 그리스도의 비밀을 말할 수 있도록, 우리를 위해서도 기도하여 주십시오. 나는 이 비밀을 전하는 일로 매여 있습니다. 그러니 내가 마땅히 해야 할 말로 이 비밀을 나타낼 수 있도록 기도해 주십시오. 외부 사람들에게는 지혜롭게 대하고, 기회를 선용하십시오. 여러분의 말은 소금으로 맛을 내어 언제나 은혜가 넘쳐야 합니다. 여러분은 각 사람에게 어떻게 대답해야 마땅한지를 알아야 합니다. Masters, provide your slaves with what is right and fair, because you know that you also have a Master in heaven. Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
