1 kings 22:

Why did God let new kings be established who in turn turned their back from God and served and worshiped Baal? This scene seems to have repeated over and over again but God did not mind granting the kings new chances.

2 Kings 1: Initially, it seems thattThe Lord’s Judgment on Ahaziah seems a little harsh since God did not give him a chance to repent and turn around from his wickedness. But the fact that Ahaziah
wanted his messengers to consult with Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, shows that he was practicing idolatry, which was a violation of the the ten commandments.
