1 Kings 9: It seems that the partnership between Solomon and Hiram continuously seemed to evolve and deepen as they worked together on successful projects to build ships and towns. But more importantly, God's eyes and ears were with Solomon as long as he would walk faithfully with integrity of heart and uprightness.
1 Kings 10: God truly blessed Solomon and provided him with all necessities. Not only that, but he was regarded as a rich man with much wisdom, justice and righteousness.
1 Kings 11:is With fame, Solomon's downfall started as we can see. As he became more exposed for foreign women and cultures with the gods, his wives turned his heart after other gods. As a result, he heart was not fully devoted to the Lord his God... So Solomon did evil in the eyes of the Lord; he did not follow the Lord completely, as David his father had done....
1 Kings 12: We see Israel going to war with Judah and people turning away from the Lord by building golden calves and worshipping them as gods. This depicts the hearts of men very well as we usually seek to build our own kingdom and easily forget the grace of God that leads us every day.
