1 Kings 5: As we can see, the preparations for building the temple and the actual process were significant and it required the partnership of two nations and two kings. Throughout, the Lord was pleased with Solomon, as He gave Solomon wisdom, just as he had promised him. Furthermore, there were peaceful relations between Hiram and Solomon, and the two of them made a treaty.

1 Kings 6: I really wonder why God wanted Solomon to build a temple for 7 years. It's not that God did not have a home so he needed a shelter. But I believe rather that these 7 years served as bonding between God and Solomon. During these years, Solomon most likely reached out to the Lord for direction and guidance on how God's future home should be built.

1 Kings 7: We can see the detailed of the process of designing and building the temple's furnishings. To help Solomon, God had sent Huram who was filled with wisdom, with understanding and with knowledge to do all kinds of bronze work. It's interesting to see all specifications of all the furnishings that were in the Lord’s temple- the golden altar, the golden table, the Most Holy Place etc.

1 Kings 8: I believe that up until this point, Solomon had the right heart before God and he knew what he was supposed to do as a successor of his father, King David. The built temple and all the sacrifices reflect very well the humble and thankful Solomon had before the Lord.
